Twin Otter DHC-6-300 Reverse Current CB

Post by Paul Jr »

DHC-6-300

Looking for information on the reverse current circuit breaker (pre mod 6/1651) post mod is the installation of Limiters.

The reverse current circuit breaker located in the power distribution and generator control box, is included in the circuit between the left DC bus and the battery/external power bus. If a high current 375 amperes nominal, or 450 amperes on later models (identified with a yellow "T") occurs, due to a faulty unit or wiring, the main contacts of the circuit breaker are timed delayed to open.

My question is "on later models". When did the jump to 450 happen? Was it cut in at a specific # or related to a mod?

IPC shows only one part number for the circuit breaker.

This is my first post, hope its's in the right forum.

Thanks
