voyageur airways

saw the posting for AME's in YVR. is this right? thought they were in North bay? does anybody know what they pay?

$19-21/hr is what a buddy of mine says they start at, he's got 7 or 8 yrs experience..

$19 in vancouver? i have got better offers from small operations in regina! for vancouver, as well as the whole industry, that is crap! and with 8 years experience, that's a slap in the face. stay away!

I can second that. My friend works there and reports about the same wage. A shame really, he loves that Sudbury/North Bay area.

talking to some of the crew out in yvr, the only reason that they stay at voyageur is because there is NOTHING ELSE IN NORTH BAY!! that is the ONLY reason. this is the sad state that the guys/gals out there are in. if you want to work in aviation, and live in north bay, you work at voyageur.the fact that they are under payed is a no brainer. they have a captive audience. and when some one gets up and leaves, he will be replaced by a freash batch of college kids eager to break stuff. the engineer to apprentice ratio is, well....... sad really.

Since no one elaborated, Voyageur has maintenance guys at the Million Air center at the south terminal of YVR.
