Crazy to think it is that expensive to live in YYC where in YYZ you can get a rental for a couple hundred more if not exactly the same

Does anyone think WJ will open a YQF base?
This country is messed up

Must be fun in the dead is winter during a snow storm. Pretty sure you can't say "sorry can't make it in today, it's snowing"
That’s what book offs are for.
I’ve definitely heard of people using that line. But this can be mitigated by simply knowing what the weather is going to be tomorrow or the day after.
Taking the day off seems a lot better then spending 200$ a night to arrive in the city the day priorCaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:18 amI’ve definitely heard of people using that line. But this can be mitigated by simply knowing what the weather is going to be tomorrow or the day after.
The once or twice a year it may happen, you can use personal day/book off in advance, or get into the city prior to the storm and get a hotel or airbnb. It’s called commuting, no different than people living in Niagara trying to get to Pearson in an ice storm.
Agreed lol. The feds even give us 5 “personal” days per year now. That should be enough to cover the winter.Me262 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 3:25 amTaking the day off seems a lot better then spending 200$ a night to arrive in the city the day priorCaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:18 amI’ve definitely heard of people using that line. 5 or 10? And it doesn't have to be covered by union agreement?CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 3:40 amAgreed lol. The feds even give us 5 “personal” days per year now. No it’s 5. Also it’s federally regulated. Type up Trudeau and Personal days on Google.Me262 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 02, 2023 7:09 am5 or 10? Nice. So out of the 5 days, first 3 will be paid too (probably irrelevant in our case since it's monthly MMG and we're not getting paid "per day/hr")CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 10:18 amNo it’s 5. Here’s the link for an Incredibly amazing government of Canada website page.

Correct. It just has to be for one of the reason listed on the website. Such as caring for your child or taking them to a medical appointment.Me262 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 6:48 amNice.
