Will you get hired from a 704 operation?

Post by Me262 »

Providing you have the ATPL and 2000hrs total time (with majority on turbo prop, including PIC), will Air Canada hire you straight from the 704 company? Or not coming from a 705 operation will be viewed as a disadvantage?

Thanks

Yep. Lots of Beechcraft pilots in the classes these days.

Yes. It is not a hard requirement to have 705 time anymore. Lots of my friends went from cooperate aviation or 704 operators to AC in the past 15 months.

Not a disadvantage, you see an occasional strait from King Air/1900/Pilatus in the latest class bios. The vast majority though are coming off Q400's or other 705 turboprops (seeing more with just FO time) and Jets with some corporate and military sprinkled in.
