Anyone know?
Greetings, I underwent my initial Cat 1 medical evaluation a few months ago, and I haven't received any communication yet. I've attempted to reach out to TC using the email and phone number provided on their website, but I haven't received a response. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to contact them to inquire about the status of my medical? From what I understand, the first medical assessment is sent to the RAMO. Should I try contacting them, and does anyone know how to do so? Thank you in advance for your help!
Re: Anyone know?
Contact the Pacific Region, you might actually get through to someone or at the very least can leave a voicemail/email and get a call back/reply.
Re: Anyone know?
I just learned this recently: it is the folks in licensing that are responsible for the paperwork aspect of sending the medical out. Usually that's where the delay is apparently.

I’m genuinely curious how long taxpayers will put up with shoddy service that has become normalized across government agencies.
Covid is still be used as an excuse for a lack of accountability and results.

Re: Anyone know?
How many months ago?
I received my first Cat 1 medical this year within the regular 3 months (surprisingly as i never received my cat 3 from May 2021).

How long are you going to put up with it?rookiepilot wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 5:34 pm I’m genuinely curious how long taxpayers will put up with shoddy service that has become normalized across government agencies.

What are you going to do about it?
COVID accelerated a nascent generational shift with boomers retiring and nobody left to replace them but immigrants. Look at the job board. The same postings are up every week. This is in nearly every field in this country. Unemployment is the lowest it’s ever been in the 21st century. There are no more workers.
So what’s the solution? Legislate mandatory overtime? Fire those who refuse which will make the problem worse? Privatize where a private monopoly will cut and run with our taxpayers dollars and perform even worse because they aren’t motivated by competition and facing the exact same labour issues?
Organize a convoy to demonstrate yet again that the Charter does not allow you to occupy and deny the public the use and enjoyment of public spaces even if it’s non-violent?
What, rookie? What led you to bring up politics for a simple non-political question with no political solution?

They’re too busy ‘working’ from home right now. Pool closing season is in full force.

Re: Anyone know?
During my WEF sponsored covid vacations, I scored a great WFH tech job. Some of my fellow coworkers were doing maybe about 1 hr of actual work per week, sometimes even less. Some even bragged about it.
And this was a non-union, private company with quotas and performance reviews. I can’t even begin to imagine how bad it would be for your typical WFH fed with little to no oversight. Meanwhile I was just thrilled to sleep in my own bed every night and not having to get in my car in the cold winter morning to go to work.
Of course the experiment has been a disaster and most big tech companies are now forcing their employees back to the wagie cagie because WFH abuse/theft.

Contact your member of parliament and ask that they request a reply from TC on your behalf. Supply the specific dates and times of your phone calls and copies of your emails.KevinDean wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 4:13 am Greetings, I underwent my initial Cat 1 medical evaluation a few months ago, and I haven't received any communication yet. All those companies have had massive layoffs. Cancelling WFH was/is a strategy to piss employees off in order for them to leave voluntarily, limiting the required layoffs.daedalusx wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 9:51 pmhttps://gizmodo.com/meta-instagram-remo ... 1850287137

Take a look on indeed and glassdoor at the amount of WFH vacancies, and you'll see it's anything but dead.
The big issue with the supposed 'loss of efficiency' articles, is that there was no real baseline for working in the office. Let's say people are goofing off an hour a day when working from home, measured by all kind of tools. If you did those same measurements at the office, you could easily find higher inefficiency numbers. But somehow companies assume that you're never distracted or interrupted when working from the office...
