Air Inuit
Hi,
I'm wondering if somebody could give me some info regarding employment with Air Inuit. My dream is to work for this company, I've spent several years living in the Nunavik region and fell in love with the land and the people. My major hurdle is that I only have 800 hours. Anybody know what the min's are there and who I should contact. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

try getting in touch with a guy named Dave Minty ( I think), he was a great help to me a few years back when I was trying to get in on a twin otter ground school, but unfortunately didn't get my IFR completed in time. What part of Nunavik are you in? I spent a few years up there myself, lived in 4 different towns.
Working for air Inuit
Hi buddy
you need at least 1500 h to be co-pilot on the king air and at least 2500 h to be captain. You will need less to work on twin otter. otherwise, check the web site http://www.airinuit.com they post most of the jobs available on their website and I know for sure that most of the pilots have been dispatch before being pilot.

Just A few corrections on the times there, For the Twin Otter all you need is your basic commercial multi IFR , For the king air the more time the better but they take people with 500 hours or more. ability to speak French is very benificial. We do take people from Dispatch and from othere areas of the company but there is no gaurinty on that. Its a Union shop so Captain spots are based on seniority and time which are 3000 hours for the King and Twin and 4000 hours for the 748 and Dash.
Its a great Company to work for and very well managed. Employee Satisfaction is very high and the working conditions are supurb.
Working up north is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, Dash positions are full time in YUL.

Hey Guys thanks for the info. I'm now up to 1100 hours and hope to get on with Air Inuit in the new year. I have no problem working dispatch for a while if I have to. My french is horrible, but I'm working on it. If anyone knows somebody in the company I can contact outside of the CP I'd appreciate it.
