Re: Did they stopped hiring?
A PFO from both Porter and Encore might sting, but that's the industry. Unless there is something specifically out of place with your resume or background, it's likely that they are both looking for more/different experience.Blueangels7 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 9:14 am Applied few days back for fo q4 today got email saying “We regret that we cannot interview all candidates and will be unable to consider my application for this position
I do have all requirements I know it’s not the end of the world but anyone knows why or in similar situation? TIA

You’re not alone my friend. Neither Porter and Encore have contacted me, I have thousands of hours of PIC King Air. Worst thing is companies won’t advise which requirements one doesn’t meet. We meet the requirements in the job posting but no call.Blueangels7 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 7:47 pmYeah so unfortunate, its so discouraging! True no idea what they are looking for. My buddy with 1100 hours in Cessna got hired in porter recently.Happyflyer78 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 8:27 pmYou’re not alone my friend. It means you're both trolls
Re: Did they stopped hiring?
Have you considered sending your resume to a friend that’s been in the industry longer and asking them if they see any problems?
Do you have any internal references those have always helped in aviation

Latest info I’ve heard is that 2 classes at mainline from Encore and 2 classes off of the street for mainline in early part if the year with a major focus on Encore for hiring. Many courses to bring Encore up to proper staffing levels.

Encore is actively hiring.
If you received a PFO and meet all the requirements have someone take a look at your resume. Something is triggering the rejection.

HR would likely be triggering the rejection. Even a not so perfect resume which shows one meets the posted requirements wouldn’t be rejected automatically by their system. HR has rejected my resume.lostaviator wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 9:55 am Encore is actively hiring.

So keep on keeping on. No use crying about it on here. Lots of us have been PFO'd from places that we really wanted to work...it's not the end of the world that one of the lowest paying regionals didn't hire you..
Re: Did they stopped hiring?
Yes, unfortunately you will probably never know why.
They may not like something that you have posted on social media, or some kind of background check.
What do they see when they google your name?

Re: Did they stopped hiring?
Your last statement provided a little insight / concern. It’s not their job to tell you if you are missing something. If there is a requirement listed in the job ad, your resume should state how you meet it. If a document is requested, you should provide it. HR departments don’t have time to hold hands through the process.
Shake it off. Clean up the resumes. And your social profile as someone else suggested. And apply again.

So should one copy/paste a job posting requirements then after each requirement put how one meets each requirement?lostaviator wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 11:28 am Your last statement provided a little insight / concern. I was suggesting that you google your own name to see what they will see.

Re: Did they stopped hiring?
I believe it’s really as simple as they had too many 1000 hour instructors and are looking for quickly upgradable candidates, your buddy can likely find out for you.Blueangels7 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 10:52 amNo clue. And i had internal reference from my buddy who works for them. But no luck

Re: Did they stopped hiring?
There is actually decent advice on here.
- reach out to your internal references
- curate your resume to match individual job descriptions
- have a mentor or colleague take a look at your resume
- clean up or make private your social media accounts
- be open to criticism
- apply elsewhere
Not everyone looks for hours. Some HR employees look for personality and/or candidates that will be a good company fit.
