Hello folks,
I am searching for an answer to a peculiar question that I do not know where to get accurate information.
I am a Canadian pilot with a clean Canadian record but I do have a record in the US system, which requires that I obtain a us waiver to be able to enter the United States. I do have said waiver.
I am wondering if anyone knows if an airline would have any problem hiring a pilot like this, or if the RAIC (international) pass would be approved with such a state of affairs.
I just want to say I am not seeking any legal advice as this is the situation and there is no way around it. I am trying to find out if I can have a career with a 705 that has us destinations.
Thank you in advance.
Will airlines hire pilot with US Waiver?

Re: Will airlines hire pilot with US Waiver?
I’m aware of a few pilots with clean records who have a waiver, generally due to overstay When they were younger.
As long as you are admissible to the Us (which the waiver allows) you likely shouldn’t have any issues assuming you’re employed by a Canadian airline.
If you’re trying to work for a Us airline you would need the waiver AND the appropriate visa but the consulate would usually get it sorted for you if you’re down that rare path.
