Murray Wood

Post by bronson »

Just been informed that Murray is in the Terrace hospital, having suffered a stroke. Have a friend in Terrace checking, but no other news yet. I think Murray is 79 this year.

Thats no good. I was just asking one of our guys who flew with him on the coast in the 70s(i worked with Murray out of Dease) if he kept in touch. Has to be one of the true unsung legends of our time. He told me he had 18000hrs in beaver(thousands more in Beech 18 and Otter) before he realised he didnt need to keep track anymore. Hope he pulls through.

Sorry to here about Murray. He is one of the last of the old school and a legend up north. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I'm told Murray had 3 strokes, enough to kill the average bear. Murray on the other hand is complaining bitterly about the ambulance ride from Tatoga...

Was up to see Murray at the Terrace hospital last night. We had a few laughs
about the old days. His mind is still sharp but will be in hospital for quite a while yet.
