WWFC Instructor Bond?

Post by lonewolf »

Just out of curiosity, is it normal for FTU's to implement a training bond for instructors?
Trying to decide on where to work.

It sounds like WWFC has one for their instructors.

I believe they have a bond for instructors who want to move up and teach the ME IFR course and do not have previous IFR experience. The rational is that it is to cover the cost of the training necessary to prepare the instructor to teach IFR. I assume it was driven by new IFR instructors leaving as soon as they have a few Multi IFR hours. However this is second hand info so best to just ask WWFC

As in, they'll give you an instructor rating and bond you for the cost of the rating? Or, you already have a FI rating and they want you to give them money to get the job?
