Rumour out of YOW is your ground handling company has been kicked out of the airport for all the damage they have done to the airport facilities,and to the Porter aircraft,Swissport will be taking over and now Porter will actually have to pay a legitimate company to perform the services.This will be the second winter in a row that a ground handling company in YOW has been kicked out.

Not sure if accurate or not, but with our issues we’ve had it would be a welcomed change.
They are seriously looking at the issues out of OW as it is a crap shoot there lately.

MaintAir out of YQT.They took over after Porter terminated all its own ground staff after the pandemic.Its been a shit show ever since.Constant staff turn around,they would hire 20 plus people every Monday and would have one guy left by the end of the week and he would most likely be a shift lead by then.Besides millions of $$$ of damage to the new E190 aircraft they were causing mayhem on the ramp.Had some very serious vehicle accidents with a few injuries.They also had the sunwing contract and Air Transat,it came to a head last weekend when no staff showed up to work to off load the flights and the LAA had to do it themselves.Pax waiting 4 hours for luggage in customs.Anyways you get what you pay for.

Yikes, sounds like Westjet in YYC when they decided to outsource their ramp after the pandemic. It's been a disaster ever since, though their new company is a tiny bit better. Still nowhere near as good as when they had their own guys in house.
