Any Flight instructors near CCW3?

Post by green1181 »

Well im back from tronto to 2 weeks to finish my flying and just found out that the last instructor from the flight school here quit and there is no one.
I am at the 45hr mark and need to finish instrument and do my cross countries and practice my flight test. Are there any instructors that would be interested in helping me get through this? I can still rent the 152 there to finish.

Isn't there two flight schools in Waterville, Greenwood flying club and Scotia flight? Couldn't you just go to the other school?

I just went up there today and found the greenwood flight school there. I had no idea they were there so I am booked with them. Are they new? when I was with scotia flight we had the ground school in the basement and greenwood was not there.

Ah thx...& that explains why it was kinda familiar...it's a bit embarassing that I forgot that as the first ever Xcountry I did was to Waterville...granted it was many years ago...

Greenwood, good folks.

They moved to Waterville a couple of years ago due to some difficulties with the military folks in Greenwood from what I understand. Say Hi to Brian Goldie for me.

You'll enjoy flying out of Waterville. Used to have my plane based out of there years ago. The skydivers are a fun bunch to hang out with, and maybe they'll even talk you into doing a tandem jump. Dave Williamson runs the drop zone. There's free camping and campfires on the weekends (weather and fire-index permitting). This time of year has a tendency to be a little dry, so campfires might be a no-no.

Have fun.
