Basic Function
The primary role of the Flight Instructor is to provide exceptional flight training for our clients at McMurray Aviation and supervise Class 4 Instructors. In addition, you will have the opportunity to engage in air charter operations, operating a diverse fleet of aircraft to various destinations.
Responsibilities
• Conduct flight training sessions for a variety of students, including VFR, IFR, and multi-engine, utilizing advanced instructional techniques and technical expertise.
• Instruct students in flight planning, navigation, and emergency procedures, emphasizing precision and safety.
• Maintain proficiency in advanced flight maneuvers and avionics systems.
• Participate in air charter operations, conducting flights to diverse destinations, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
• Collaborate with our maintenance team to ensure aircraft are in optimal condition for flight operations.
• Continuously monitor weather conditions and provide in-depth briefings to students and charter clients.
• Develop and implement customized training programs to meet individual student needs.
• Foster a culture of safety and professionalism within the organization, adhering to industry best practices.
Qualifications
• Hold a Class 1-4 Flight Instructor rating.
• Demonstrated experience in flight instruction with a deep understanding of advanced flight techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and make real-time decisions, emphasizing safety and precision.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to travel to various destinations in all weather conditions.
Work Environment
You will be part of a dynamic team working in a busy, deadline-oriented atmosphere. Our office environment is client-focused, and you will frequently interact with clients and students. Flight conditions may require travel to unimproved dirt, grass, and gravel runways.

The office environment will typically be a busy, deadline-oriented atmosphere with clients and students present frequently. Flexible Language Requirement:
• French not required
Experience:
• Flight Instruction: 1 year experience (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
• Class 1-4 instructor rating (required)
