Why does NavCAN still have open posting for ATC/FSS nationally?
Nav Can has had their listing for over 8 months now, I wonder if they just get as many people tested as possible before deciding and taking the very top candidates. Sucks for the rest of people who are waiting for an offer and never get it. Why not just say no and make the cut off hire.

They want the very best of candidates. The higher you are on the list the better chance of getting an offer. Why settle for bottom of the list people if you don't have to?Ypjilani wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 5:11 pm Nav Can has had their listing for over 8 months now, I wonder if they just get as many people tested as possible before deciding and taking the very top candidates. Edit: I just noticed your last word was meant to be "higher". I guess they want a big list to choose from. If they make the list intentionally smaller they could risk not filling a course if people cannot accept for whatever reason.

Because we will hiring continuously for the foreseeable future. The aim is to have the maximum amount of candidates possible to choose from and load the courses that start throughout the year.

Yeah, companies like to keep their options open for as long as possible to find the perfect match. It might seem tough to wait it out, but it could save everyone some hassle in the long run.
