Thompson. You’ll love the Thompson Inn. Cheap beers.
Trappers wing night is also killer. But you gotta pay for your wings before you get them. Also, watch your six

Schedule is good. They almost exclusively have long single day pairings. Most days seem to be credited between 5.5-8 hours. Bid window is 78-90. With OT kicking in at 85. Captains are scheduled right up to 90 hours a month. Often works out to about 12-16 days. Junior captains when qualified are sent out to Toronto or Timmins bases to provide coverage. FOs are on reserve for the first 3-4 months then hold a full line of flying usually only 12-13 days scheduled. As much WDO as you want to pick up on the captain side of things. The culture has improved immensely and they are working to provide more help in the northern stations over the last few years.

Mining contract to Detour Lake Mine CDT9. Charters everyday through Timmins and Monday and Thursday flying out of YYZ through North Bay is what I was told recentlyDronepiper wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2025 11:06 pmWhat type of flying does Perimeter do out of Toronto and Timmins?DashDriver wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2025 9:21 pm Schedule is good. Surprised Voyageur didn't pick up that contract since it is in it's own back yard...

Re: Pilot schedule at Perimeter
Thanks for the infos guys.
Any jump seat agreements ??..Is it a commuter friendly environment (Mostly to YUL and YHZ).
In terms of loading and unloading, how much a DHC driver is involved in this ??
And do you have APU's ??
Thanks again.

The questions are ridiculous, it’s a bush operation, you seem to have an expectation it’s a typical 705 operation, good luck with that brah!canadianfly wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 7:28 pmPlease shed some light bro.

Bush operators typically don't fly into CYYZ.cdnavater wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 7:35 amThe questions are ridiculous, it’s a bush operation, you seem to have an expectation it’s a typical 705 operation, good luck with that brah!
Bearskin had (has?) pretty good jumpseat agreements. Now that they merged with Perimeter, the question is certainly valid to try and find out if those jump seat agreements have transferred over.
As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

Think of it as 703 level, but with big airplanes and more rules to be bent.canadianfly wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 2:29 am Thanks for the infos guys.

Yes, there's agreements. It'll be barely commute-able.

Lots and lots. Expect a sore back after a year
And do you have APU's ??
No, lolz. And even if there was one, it')l be deferred until the limit. Work for 2 days, then deferred for another 120 days. Repeat.
Thanks again.
I'm not saying Perimeter is a bad company. They're one of the better ones. 705 "north" is just a different can of worms with a different interpretation of the rules and a different level of compliance.
