I was an experienced pilot working for BWIA, and like any other day, I went under an aircraft to check on its serviceability. In that moment, my life changed forever—a jetstream of hydraulic fluid struck my eye. The pain was immediate and excruciating, but little did I know at that time, the consequences would be far-reaching and, quite frankly, devastating.
In a matter of seconds, my entire career as a pilot was put in jeopardy. My ability to fly was severely impacted, and soon, I found myself not just battling the physical and emotional toll of losing something I had worked my whole life for, but also facing a corporate giant in a legal fight for justice.
