Just wondering how all those without a loan from the bank of mom and dad are/have funded their flight training? Bank loans/student loans?
TIA

Work while doing flight training. It takes longer, but not being in debt at the end was worth it IMO. It doesn't work with every job, but might be an option for some.

I would say - hard work -- but that would upset a lot of people, so just try GoFundMe like so many others without an ounce of self respect have.
Of course IMO that applies to getting fully funded by the bank of Mom and Dad too, saying that will really trigger some people
Its not hard to tell who on this forum got fully funded by begging their parents.
Re GoFundMe -- I hear there are loads of people willing to drop 100K on someone they don't know to fly airplanes around.

Funny story on that....
I'm holding a couple seconds and one of them has had a tough time making payments. When i finally lit a fire hot enough to get him in line he said he would get everything paid up when the money from his GoFundMe came in. I couldn't believe that people use that to pay their mortgage.
I can see it for people that have had life altering events, accidents etc, but to avoid getting a part time job, or sell your motorcycle or RV. Shocking.

In this country? Without exception, if you are a young kid, it would be the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. Being in this organization enables your kid to enter the aviation business surrounded by aviation enthusiasts. If I was too old for that, I would still ensure I surrounded myself with like minded people whom would also be sympathetic of my funding issues. Volunteering within some aviation endeavor club could lead to connections. Being involved somehow, anywhere, within this industry will lead to some funding. Dig deep. Live the dream.

I'm in the co-op program at my university, so I'm earning money whilst on co-op and using that money to fly.
