Pairings
Got a few questions about the pairings at CJT:
1. Is there any single day pairings?
2. Do they have reserve?
3. Are most of the flights night flights?
4. How long is the longest pairing?
Thanks in advance for answering my questions!

Re: Pairings
1. There are some. YHM YOW in the AM, YOW YHM in the PM. Often used as a line-check flight. Red eye YHM YVR YHM leaving at like 2 AM. YHM YYC YHM leaving at 1300. These can and do change and are long days.Loading... wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2024 3:57 pm Got a few questions about the pairings at CJT:

2. Qualified "yes." Typically very briefly, sometimes longer, when you first start, or after schedule "changes." No biddable reserve.
3. Define "night flight." 76 of 375 pairings in Nov have EVERY duty period start and finish between 0600 and 2200.
214 pairings start after 5 AM and finish before 8 PM, but obviously "in between" will be different. See attached random example.
i.e.
4. Longest in Nov is 11 days, only one of them. 2x 10 day, 1x 9 day, 17x 8 day, 25x 7, 56x 6, etc.
Re: Pairings
Holy crap, 10 or 11 or even 9 day pairings, yikes. I suppose commuters love them.4blue wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 10:46 am1. There are some. YHM YOW in the AM, YOW YHM in the PM. What sort of credit do you get, the pairing example you posted doesn’t look great
Re: Pairings
Does that mean a 59:27 hour layover in Guadalahara? Is this example of an 11 day pairing?4blue wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 10:46 am1. There are some. YHM YOW in the AM, YOW YHM in the PM. Re: Pairings
Yes, some long ones, that yes, are usually preferred by commuters. Also only around 1% of total pairings are 9 days or longer. The majority is really in the 3-6 day range.cdnavater wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 11:41 amHoly crap, 10 or 11 or even 9 day pairings, yikes. Cargojet doesn't "do credit." Right now it's 15 days worked per month. The example pairing above is 7 days. So that's 7 of your 15 days.
Pros and cons to no "credit." However, vacation is also day-for-day. 5 days of holiday means you only work 10 days that month

Re: Pairings
Yes. This is a seven day pairing with a 59:27 layover in GDL. Again, no "credit" or "rigs" at Cargojet. "A day's a day." So a seven day trip is 7 of your 15 days worked in a month.AA123455 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 1:00 pmDoes that mean a 59:27 hour layover in Guadalahara? With no credit, is a day limited only by duty/rest rules?4blue wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 3:04 pmYes. This is a seven day pairing with a 59:27 layover in GDL. Again, no "credit" or "rigs" at Cargojet. Re: Pairings
Do you always do 15 days or is that the max and sometimes you do less?
