I'd add:
- Posties have been on strike for nearly a month. Somehow Air Canada pilots were going to get FOS

Would you prefer the company go bankrupt?

Union dropped wage demand to 19% over four years in Canada Post negotiations: CUPW
https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/union-d ... -1.7139217
They were previously asking for 24 percent. Peak leverage was pasted and the union realized that too late. Canada Post doesn't hold a 45% market share on the parcel delivery business. Fedex, UPS, Amazon and every other little 3rd parties carriers are licking their chops right now. If they don't agree to a TA before Christmas, post workers will get an even shittier deal.

Air Canada MEC lowered their demands 3 days PRIOR
Vastly different than nearly a month LATER
Hilarious attempt though Tango
And the real point is...they are STILL ON STRIKE

The CEO got promoted after negotiating with the pilot union
If that doesn't say something...

Well, I'm glad we all made such a strong effort to wear the same colored necklaces. It was a very useful investment in time that brought us together and showed them management.

Could also have been saying, had you gone on strike and gained more, that could’ve bankrupted the company.

What’s does 50,000 shine points equate to in real life money?
With the pay cut and cost of commuting it costs me about $70,000 a year to work here for the first couple years.
Dollar for dollar?

I assume it doesn't cost this for everyone. Are you renting you own place in YYZ or YVR with a car and counting meals as well?Canadianpilot2024 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 1:32 pm What’s does 50,000 shine points equate to in real life money?

I think the major part of his cost is the pay cut he took.Keppen wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 5:03 pmI assume it doesn't cost this for everyone. I'm saying it's a ridiculous thing to be calling foul seeing the company spending money after the fact, or the stock rising. Had the contract been worth significantly more, and these things still happening, would these guys still be still be denouncing the union? Don't get me wrong, I wanted more too, but seeing the stock tank and the company be unsuccessful isn't going to make me feel better about it.

Mikey seems pretty happy these days!
From his statements about the "mutually beneficial" deal to the stock back on track to pre Covid levels to his promotion to head of the Star Alliance to him handing out Shine Points!
We are all Winning as One!
(Except for the junior suckers...we eat shit for a few years and keep our 2nd jobs)

Perhaps you should move on then? Lots of places hiring - Flair is hiring and, apparently, the FOs are not required to eat shit.
