PTR SIM entries

I'd like to ask anyone with knowledge on this topic:

When conducting a VFR simulator session with a PPL student—for example, covering exercises 7 and 8—how should that session be logged in the PTR? Would it fall under the "Instruments" column under FTD, even though no instrument flying was conducted? and a "D" on the exercises we did?

when we do exercise 24, its clear. it goes under ftd time under instruments but question is when its VFR exercises

This is a grey area at my FTU, and my TC inspector mentioned they would get back to me but haven’t yet.
