Jazz recent FO hirings
Hey all,
Based on the posting the initial review of applications started last week. Has anyone heard back yet re: first officer positions? If so, what is your TT and experience?

The posting is still advertised with June 30th as apply by date. Maybe applications are reviewed as received. The apply by date hasn’t been updated due to HR reps on summer vacations possibly.cavokflyer wrote: ↑Sat Jul 05, 2025 7:55 am Hey all,

I think they are looking for rebels who apply with less than minimum requirements and at least 5 business days after posting closure.
Shows determination and grit. Something you don’t find lots of these days. Better yet, throw a few phone calls in. Every hangup is worth 100 hrs.

Anyone recently got any interview date with Jazz? I applied around 1st week of August and haven't heard anything back from them. Also if anyone knows current hiring minimums please post it. I sit at 1116 TT with 400 multi time. Cheers

From the multiple people I've heard apply to Jazz, their time varying between 900 to 1500 hours, have not heard back anything so they have entertained other opportunities. I applied with 1200 total, 550 multi turbine and I've been waiting as well.

I got hired during the peak of the frenzy and the process still took months and months. People need to reframe their expectations a bit. It's not a job at McDonalds, its somewhere you *could* spend a career. Or at least it was. That's the pace of hiring.avcanada1558 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 15, 2025 10:25 am You applied a week ago come on man haha. Applied and have been updating since May. 1400 TT 800 multi.

Well said, it doesn't happen overnight. Do you mind elaborating on the equipment/base assignments a bit? How many went to the RJ or Q and were there options to stay out West?NSFly wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 3:03 pmI got hired during the peak of the frenzy and the process still took months and months. The only reason you “spend a career” at jazz now is if you got PFOd literally from everyone else. But don’t listen to me, just go ahead and give it a go, you’ll be able to make your own deductions in like 3 months.NSFly wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 3:03 pmI got hired during the peak of the frenzy and the process still took months and months. I don't know what skeletons you have in your closet from your employment with Jazz but if the payscale would've be the same (or a very close percentage) as AC's A220 I would've 100% spent it at Jazz.CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 9:20 pmThe only reason you “spend a career” at jazz now is if you got PFOd literally from everyone else. I think he's right, maybe a bit on the cynical side, but I've never flown with anyone on the new pension who wanted to stick there till retirement.safetyfirst123 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 4:46 pmHe has nothing but bitterness to contribute to AvCanada, just ignore himMe262 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 4:37 pmI don't know what skeletons you have in your closet from your employment with Jazz but if the payscale would've be the same (or a very close percentage) as AC's A220 I would've 100% spent it at Jazz.CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 9:20 pm

Throughout my entire life I have only one regret - Working at Jazz. Go literally anywhere else and apply direct to WS/AC/TSMan_in_the_sky wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 6:32 pmI think he's right, maybe a bit on the cynical side, but I've never flown with anyone on the new pension who wanted to stick there till retirement.safetyfirst123 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 4:46 pmHe has nothing but bitterness to contribute to AvCanada, just ignore him

One regret your ENTIRE life, wow! That’s awesome, how did you live such a great life full of great decisions that never backfired?Nick678 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 17, 2025 12:31 pmThroughout my entire life I have only one regret - Working at Jazz. I’m curious, is this based strictly on the flow to AC? If so, how do you know you weren’t accepted because they had to meet a quota? Do you think your resume stood out so much you would have been one of the OTS that went ahead of the Jazz pilots, seriously!

Do you have any friends that left in 2015 when the PML was activated and regret it?cdnavater wrote: ↑Wed Sep 17, 2025 12:38 pmOne regret your ENTIRE life, wow! Re: Jazz recent FO hirings
There ya go, you said it yourself. “If the pay scales were the same (or close)”, you would have stayed. Yet they aren’t anywhere close to AC 220 rates. Plus, the pilots that got skipped at Ac, plus the 17 year deal that was supposed to only have Jazz fly express routes, but yet that’s been broken again.Me262 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 4:37 pmI don't know what skeletons you have in your closet from your employment with Jazz but if the payscale would've be the same (or a very close percentage) as AC's A220 I would've 100% spent it at Jazz.CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 9:20 pmThe only reason you “spend a career” at jazz now is if you got PFOd literally from everyone else. My skeletons aren’t in the closet dude, they’re hanging in the front yard saying Jazz sucks.

All my sunshine and love goes to other forums or people.
Take it or leave it. I think there’s a block option on this site if you can’t take the heat.
Take that 3 day CRM course and open up this toolbox: Everyone post 2015 is getting sewered if jazz is your career choice.
If they can’t see it, it’s cuz the blinders are still on. Jazz is not a career company anymore.ill say it again, People only stay there cuz you either got PFOd or you have a pre 2015 seniority number. Ohh, one more possible reason, those roller bags are indestructible.

Relax nice guy. It's your tone on every post, you have an axe to grind and little to contribute. Take your own advice regarding CRM. You've been stuck in the regionals too long and it shows. You're running out of cycles man.CaptDukeNukem wrote: ↑Wed Sep 17, 2025 8:04 pmYou’re right.safetyfirst123 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 15, 2025 4:46 pmHe has nothing but bitterness to contribute to AvCanada, just ignore him
