Domi's wife names Stronach as mistress

By JANE TABER

Saturday, September 23, 2006, Page A6

Liberal MP Belinda Stronach has been named as the other woman in a divorce application filed by Leanne Domi, the wife of former Maple Leafs tough guy Tie Domi.

Ms. Domi, who has been married to the hockey player for 13 years, says in the 20-page document filed in court this week that she believes her husband and Ms. Stronach have been involved in an "intimate sexual relationship" since he "began working with her on her political campaign in January, 2006."

I dunno about that. I'd say that most of the leafs players are worried that after a month or two of sleeping with a Toronto player, she'd change her mind a shack up with a Canadiens player

What else does little Belinda need? She has the money, the power, and now someone who can physically dish it out!

Way to go TIE!

As far as affairs goes, tie domi strikes me as being a pretty lame choice. Belinda, who I am told looks much better in person than in photographs, could probably do better than the swollen fire hydrant that is domi. I won't bother to offer suggestions, but a fair analogy to me would be say, Peter Forsberg or Matt Sundin choosing to have an affair with Sheila Copps. <shudder>

Apparently Tie also played horsie with Tia Carerre

http://torontosun.com/News/TorontoAndGT ... 4-sun.html

The full article is an interesting read, but the important part is here:

...Leanne says she later discovered Domi was involved with Tia Carrere, who filmed her TV series The Relic Hunter here. After an 18-month separation, Tie returned to the marriage, vowing to "never lie to me or the children again," she says....

Sounds like cheering going on in this thread because I sure don't hear any booing. This guy is not "the man", ok
People, like Tie, don't see the tragedy they are causing, but they would if they started thinking about the Big Picture. So, how can Tie still be a good father, if he's left his family? Maybe you guys could discuss this, so you can learn that you can't be "the man", if you leave your family. I'm sure Leanne was pretty happy before, and therefore there wouldn't have been the failures that Tie is coughing up. Oh and Belinda should be kicked out of her public office.

I partly agree with you, Chantal. I don't see anything to congratulate but, then again, I can't stand Stronach.
Chantal wrote:how can Tie still be a good father, if he's left his family?
From the sounds of it, he was punted out. Not exactly the same as leaving.

As Canada is a matriarchal society he going to have an uphill battle even seeing his kids. Hard to be a good parent when the courts will give his wife virtually unlimited power to restrict any meaningful interaction with his kids.
I'm sure Leanne was pretty happy before
You can glean more than I can, then. The only things I can tell are:

1) Domi's an ass. If he's going to have an affair he needs to learn to be more discrete.

2) Stronach's just as stupid. As a public figure she should probably avoid married men. Or at least ones with spiteful wives.

3) Domi's wife is spiteful. In this day and age you don't need to name a defendant in a divorce action. This was done purely for revenge.
That doesn't prove she's no fun to live with but it's not the best character reference, is it?

All I can say is Tie, WTF man?!?!?!?!

You sucked as a hockey player, your team sucked, but you could throw some decent punches.... but doing Belinda, that's just disgusting!!!!

I saw Belinda with a little entourage in YVR a few weeks ago - she may be fit, but ouch, sure nothing to look at, especially up close - you would've thought the money would've bought a face lift, or at least the plastic surgeon that did her boob job could've thrown in a face job of somesort.

But then again, like they say, beauty is just a light switch away....

I can't believe Peter McKay was upset about losing her - must've been the $$$ he wouldn't ever get.

That's quite right Chantal. No man can possibly be a good father to his kids if he's not still married to their mother.

Why don't we just file this whole rant under "Reasons to avoid Crystal Meth use".

People, like Chantal, don't see the tragedy when passing judgement on something they know f@*k all about. Who this man sleeps with, is none of our business. Whoever any F*@ks is nobody elses business. If you are somehow involved in a personal way with Domi or Stronach feel free to moan away. But for the rest of us, if we choose to have a little fun with celebrity gossip, let it be. It is nothing more than that.

And by the way, the archetypal family doesn't fit in all relationships. Is it better for a man who doesn't love his wife to stay in a loveless dead end marriage?

Anyone else see something funny here.
He cheats in 99 and leanne takes him back, apparently now he does again but way back in january, now that he is retired and won't have the pay check she wants a divorce to get the small salary that he gets now.

Leanne is a B%$CH as far as I am concerned

No, not at all, (although a lot of people do, trying to make their kids' life a little more normal) but he should at least have the decency to end the marriage with his wife, before embarking on a new relationship.

As for Ms. Stronach - what is it with her and guys with funny noses - first McKay, and now Domi..??? She, too should have a little more respect for Domi's marriage and wait for it to be terminated before stepping in.

My point was mostly that it isn't our place to judge....we know so little about their reality and we don't need to know either. celebrity gossip is just that gossip, and making such judgements as chantal's with only a fraction(if that) of the story, is just wrong. and staying with your wife after having had numerous affairs isn't exactly being "a man" either. Nor is smearing your partners affairs through the press being any better. They have kids right?

And this folks is why one should select a partner VERRY carefully…

Anyone who finds themselves in a relationship that ends poorly should have done a better job when finding said mate. There are far more serious things going on in the world to waste time or tears over your @#$! up, pick up your boots and be a bit more selective on the next round…
Celebrity gossip is (IMHO) a waste of social resources.

Why is somebody picking on me? Seems like I get alot of attention when I call something bad. Alot of people are talking about this because we can, they are famous celebrities.

Anyways, everyone should always be concerned of the example they are setting, especially celebrities or did they think were not going to get caught? Something really weird about going out in public the way they did.
