Position Summary:
• Mitchinson Flight Centre is hiring for its Flight Operations management team to help keep up with the increasing demand and growth. The Assistant Chief Flight Instructor – Operations & Flight Training reports directly to the Chief Flight Instructor and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, the flight training program (except the flight instructor rating program), supervising the Class 2 and 3 instructors, ensuring compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and other duties as assigned by the Chief Flight Instructor. This is a full-time salaried position (40 hours/week) involving both flight and administrative duties. Mitchinson is open seven days a week, year-round with flight operations normally scheduled as early as 0600 to as late as 2300. The successful candidate can expect to work some evenings, weekends and holidays based on operational needs. When supervising, there may be some requirements to provide support to instructors after hours over phone or email. A detailed job description has been attached below.

Requirements:
• Canadian Flight Instructor Rating – Class 1 or 2 with a valid medical
• Strong Interpersonal Skills
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills
• Ability to make decision and adapt to a changing environment
• Strong computer skills and familiar with computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Flight Logger, Cirro, etc.)
• Familiar with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and other regulations as it applies to the role.
• Eligible to work in Canada

Preference will be given to applicants with some or many of the following:
• Group 1 Instrument Rating
• Previous supervisory experience
• Multi/IFR teaching experience
• Aviation Degree/Diploma
• Airline Transport Pilot License

Pay:
• Competitive Salary based on experience and years in the position. Pay range $70,000 - $85,000.
