North Cariboo activity...or lack of?

Post by matt foley »

Yes I used this sites search and also the Old Google. As a longtime past former NCA worker, I am wondering why the lack of activity with them. At least anecdotally while in and out of YYC. Is something up or this a seasonal slow down? if I am missing something then please link it for my reference.

Thanks

MF

Not too familiar with North Cariboo but I do know the King Air fleet was sold about 18 months ago.

Perfect storm.

Loss of medevac contracts in BC, inability to compete on the charter market with the RJ and 1900s against operators with more economical 737s (Air North, Canadian North, KF Aero) and Dash 8s (CMA), several large resource projects coming to a close like LNG.

Their contract with Meg Energy was terminated less than a month ago as well. Apparently Meg gave them 30 days notice and NCA dropped them on the spot for whatever reason.

Friend of mine used to work there and still has some contacts in the know. Everything he's heard seems to indicate they're circling the drain.
