Assistant CFI hour requirements?

Post by Z28 »

Hello aviators

I’ve read on the TC site that to become an assistant CFI you need at least a Class 3 instructor rating. It does not specify specific hours of experience.

Does anyone that has taken on the role of assistant CFI in Canada remember what exact qualifications you needed?

I’d like the opportunity to be a better instructor in being an assistant cfi to help out .

For the TC side, there is no time requirements, just valid class 3. But the training units can add any other requirements based on their needs/ current availability.

If you were an Assistant CFI and a junior instructor asked you this question, how would you answer it?

more errors from the google AI gobbledygook.

Dont rely on that, go look at the actual standard. It does not mention an aviation diploma, instrument rating or ATPL.
