Does anyone know more about the birddog position with MAG aerospace on the AC50 based at Val-d'or? Schedule? Salary?

Thanks

Parle-tu Français?

If not, you should look elsewhere.

I’ve personally worked with MAG’s YVO birddog (the MAG guys are all in all a great bunch) but as bilingual as you may be, don’t expect the same from your AAO/SOP feu ride along that you’ll be chauffeuring.

I interviewed for the non-bilingual MAGAerospace bird dog position.

Season: Mid‑March to October 15.
Rotation: 21 days on / 9 days off for the full contract (typical day 1200 - 1800 standby)
Accommodation: Provided in Dryden for the entire season.
Travel: Company (may?) covers travel home for each 9‑day break.

Training and PPC
- Ground school mid‑March
- PPC on the Aero Commander 500/690
- Training runs about a week
- No pay until PPC is completed
- During training: breakfast + lunch provided, plus $20/day dinner per diem

Compensation
- Base salary: $80,000 for the season
- Vacation (4%) + Stat pay (2%) brings it to ~$87,000
- Bonuses add roughly another $5,000
- Total seasonal earnings: ~$92,000
