It's true. Friday afternoon Cameco and Cogema pulled all TWA contracts effective immediately. Looks like WWA and Courtesy will be a bit busier now pulling up the slack. I hope TWA doesn't lay off too many guys because of this.
Glad I left that shit berg when I did! Feel bad for those left behind.....

Duffman: Hey Duff lovers! Does anyone in this bar loooove Duff?
Carl: Hey, it's Duffman!
Lenny: Newsweek said you died of liver failure.
Duffman: Duffman can never die, only the actors who play him. Ooh yeah!
It's really to bad for all the employes, especially the ones that have put in so much time up north, but management has been asking for it since the merger in 2000. They truely believed they were the SHIT and Cameco had no choice. Maybe now the ops management will see that blue uniforms were not the answer. LOL
Well I guess that TO and Navaho job can be taken off the job board now. It's too bad some young guy won't get a shot at the left seat because of poor management.
I hear Borek is looking for King Air and Twin Otter drives right now. If it looks like your job is out the window don't hesitate to call them. They seem to really like TWA Guys and Girls.
what runs did TWA do for cameco? if they required T'wotters and ho's what is Westwind going to use to replace them? are they going to expand the fleet?
to bad for the TWA boys and girls, but there are greener pastures and hope everyone finds a place to graze
IIRC: The mine runs to 5 or 6 different sites were done with Navajos and the J31's and occasionally the Saab. I don't recall a twotter ever being needed for that, the gravel and treated strips at the mines are quite lengthy and don't need the STOL abilities.
I guess TWA is going to have to try pretty hard with charters and the sched and medevac runs now!

Latest word through the vine is JG and PC grabbed thier kneepads and set up a meeting with the big shots at the mines to work things out. The plot thickens.....
Jr. won't need a note pad or a pencil when he meets with Cameco. He will do his usually yelling and screaming and telling them how he cares about his employees and doesn't want to lay any of them off. Just like he does to fire cache every year. Which if he did care about his employees would be a good thing, but we all know that isn't the case. How many times has he told an employees "if you don't do it, I'll find someone that will."It is to bad for all the young guys because they do get a chance to learn, they just aren't treated very good well they are learning.
And for you 159357, your right we should give people a chance to change, but both P.C. & J.G. have seen and been involved in the bussiness for over 40 years and they still haven't changed a bit. People/companies are tired of giving them a chance and are moving on to better things, while the 2 partners sit back a do nothing.
