Loss of Separation Due to Temperature Correction

C-GLUQ, a Can-West Corporate Air Charters Ltd. Beech B200GT, was operating as flight
CWA926 from High Level Airport (CYOJ), AB, to Grande Prairie Airport (CYQU), AB. CWA926
attempted an approach onto Runway 25 via the RNAV Z RWY 25 approach. A missed approach
was conducted and CWA926 climbed to 6500 feet ASL. The published missed approach altitude is
6000 feet ASL. The flight crew added a 500 feet correction for cold temperature but did not advise
ATC. A loss of separation occurred with an Adventure Aviation Inc. Piper PA-30, C-GETU, that
was operating in the area. Separation was reduced to 600 feet and 4.0 SM where 1000 feet or 5.0
SM is required.
