Smart AMS Inc. provides aircraft MRO services and parts support across Canada and internationally. We are currently seeking an Licensed AME Structures at our YLS hangar.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Candidate will be performing large-scale structural modifications/conversions on regional aircraft in an MRO facility
2.Perform close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures and fracture critical areas.
3.Locating blind holes necessary for installation of new structural items to existing structure.
4.Perform efforts associated with sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving structure in accordance with standard repair processes.
5.Demonstrates the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
6.Ability to proficiently access and manipulate computer systems daily for work instructions, drawings, and training
7.Use of tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural parts.
8.Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
9.Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
10.A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required.
11.This candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
12.Participate in training sessions and hands-on experience to develop technical skills.
13.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
14.Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
AME S License
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
2+ years structures modifications at a MRO (or aircraft structural modification experience)
Candidate must be able to provide their own tools.
Able to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
