Aviation Medical Awareness - Processing Times, impacts

Hi all,

I’m developing a neutral, pilot‑led transparency project focused on Transport Canada aviation medical processing timelines. The intent is constructive: to provide clarity on
1. how long medicals are taking,
2. transparency on how the process works,
3. how the system is perceived by the pilots who rely on it,
4. and the impact of the timelines on aviation workers

This is not an adversarial effort and not an attempt to assign blame. It follows the same philosophy TC uses in safety investigations — improvement through understanding.

There will be several ways to collect information and it will be consolidated into a report that will be submitted to Transport Canada. Specifically, there will be a website where you can submit your experiences, answer a survey, and formulate an email or letter to your MP and to "the Minister". Additionally any posts to forums about this will be collected if permission is given.

The project also includes publicly available Google Reviews for TC’s Civil Aviation Medicine headquarters. These reviews are not moderated or influenced; they are simply part of the public record and provide additional context. If you post a review, cover the 4 numbered items above in your review.
