I just hope that he doesn't stay in protectice custody. You have to know that when your crime arouses idignation among hardened criminals, you deserve whatever happens to you.

He's lucky that's all he got. Maybe they didn't report what really happens to kiddy diddlers in general pop. It hurts me to sit here just thinking of that.

He deserves everything that comes to him. I agree with you Wsquared, take him out of protected custody and see how long he lasts. People who murder and molest children should be taken out into the street and beaten. Maybe it would deter others from doing the same thing.

what's happening in this planet ??? do some of you guys have children of that age ??....I do !...... for such a crime, the death penalty is the answer and nothing less !

Don't get me wrong here. I believe that people who commit such heinous crimes should be issued the death penalty, however that is not an option in Canada.

I believe that if you make a child suffer, you should also suffer. (call it vendictive if you want) Hearing about people that do that to kids just makes my blood boil. I never got to have children of my own, however, I can tell you that if anyone did anything like that to my child, I'm not sure what I'd do, however, I would want that person to suffer as much as possible. You don't deserve rights when you have taken the rights of security away from someone so innocent and helpless.

This may be opening a can of worms here, so please this is all IMHO

Canadian Justice system is great for some areas, not so much for others. Since we no longer issue the Death penalty here, so what happens to murderers/child rapists? They get a nice jail cell (bed, toilet, sink, locker and others), catered food (in some cases) 3 meals a day anyway, T.V. and the opportunity to take high school and college/university courses. They can get mail and care packages from the outside world. They have outdoor time and some cases work placement opportunities.

This is just wrong. People who committ these crimes should be locked away in a dark cell with no sunlight or human contact, served bread and water until they die. They made that child suffer until he/she died... so why not have the punishment fit the crime? Some people say that this is against their human rights. No I'm sorry, you dont' get rights anymore after you've done something like that and been convicted.

Some might even say that the death penalty is too easy. That if you don't believe in a place after this world, then death is an easy out. The criminals don't have to live up to the consequences of their actions.

I sure don't have all the answers, and I don't know how I would react if this happened to my child.

However, I don't think I would be opposed to a pre-life-time-in-jail public flogging.
