I have a buddy who works there. He loves it, the pay is great the time off is even better. I think they are on a 10 days on 4 off, but they are switching to a 2 weeks on 1 week off (sweet). I also hear they may be picking up a BE-20 in the near future. As for the moral, the company is full of pilots that want to work. They also go out for a few drinks every now and then. Overall from what I hear the company is A+. PM me and I could hook you up with one of the names of the pilots.

Just give 'em a call, and ask to speak with the fixed wing chief pilot.

I called him out of the blue a year or so ago, and he was friendly and willing to answer all my questions.

Don't be intimidated by the title 'Chief Pilot', they're just ordinary people like you and I, but with a higher annual income and more hours in their logbooks.

yep...that's him the last time I talked to them. Nice guy. People there seem pretty happy from what I know. I run into their guys on occasion when they are doing pipeline patrol in northern alberta, also talked to their navajo crew when they were in YXJ a few months ago. AES Seems like a good place to be.

Their website is a pretty good source of info.

Know two pilots who work there. They are quite happy with the company....lots of hours, good pay and great team to work with.

My 2 cents.

Cheers

One of them got on with 250 hours. The other had around 1300 hours. I think they look to see if you are going to stick around or not....2 to 3 years atleast.

Usually entry position is on the C-177 or the new 172. You fly lots on the pipe line patrol (around 900-1200 hours per year) It takes time to train new pilots on the patrols so thats why they want a comitment.
