It's been a while, but in the past in Alberta you could get Canada and Alberta Student Loans if the flight school was an accredited private institution. If it's a college well then obviously you can get student loans. You can get quite a hefty sum. $30 000 isn't out of the question. I received a millennium scholarship for 3000 which was awarded with my student loan. If your debt load is high, they used to automatically remit a certain amount at the completion of training. You must have your private licence first.

yea definately, if it's under the governments list of accredited schools, you can get any type of loans; whether an RESP account you got, a Mutual Funds, a GIC account, anything. Check with ur school to make sure that they're accredited.
