sorry to hear
Say, sorry to hear all this stuff. I really liked working with you all at Canjet, it was one of the most fun places with the best people that I have ever been at. In fact, I liked Canjet so much, I wrote about it.

One of the good old boys from down home took me aside before the initial interview and told me the wages and working conditions, then asked me if I could live with it. I said YES! Then we proceeded to the real interview. I was never promised more than lots of flying hours and a quick upgrade, and that was enough for me.
Maybe the reason I still like everyone at Canjet so much is because I was also the first one to bail out to fly B777s overseas. I was sorry to go, but I had to, since all of you kept on telling me that Mr. Rowe never kept any of his 4 airlines more than a couple of years. You all seemed to know it was short term. At least, you had more of a clue than I did, and that scared me over here to the sandpit, where incidently, there is lots of hiring if anyone of you is interested.

sandpit for Canjet
Yes, that is right, out in Dubai now with Emirates, along with 3 other Canjet pilots that I know of. It is not for everyone out here, but they seemed happy enough with the move when I talked to them. The traffic is the main irritation of living here, but if you like cycling instead of driving, try emirates website to apply; that is all I did.
Sure, I like it fine out here. The climate here means you can go cycling every day, which is, of course, of prime importance. It was that freezing rain in Halifax that separated the mildly retarded cyclists from the truly insane.
Do not worry about getting run over in the Dubai traffic on the way to work, though. Emirates picks up the pilots in a fleet silver Audis, so I have to find some other place to ride instead of to work.
Good luck to all of you!
