Valleyview Navajo Incident.

Post by Doctor Evil »

I heard from a reliable source that a charter operator from CYXD had a mishap with a Navajo on a forestry strip near Valleyview yesterday. The news has been quiet on this subject--can anyone confirm or deny.

I heard similar, although I thought it was AT Valleyview as the runway was NOTAM'd citing a "disabled aircraft on runway".

Aircraft landed on a forestry strip 2 miles south of Valleyview mistaking it for the airport. Everyone is ok. both props hit ground and nose wheel collapsed. Weather in the area was 1 SM in blowing snow.
