Anyone know? I'm looking for an instructor/FO job and this looks like a good company.... What's their rep, what's causing this sudden demand for pilots?

Looks are often decieving! Why so many jobs? Because all their pilots are leaving them. Guess thats what happens when they want their pilots to sign bonds for recurrent training!!! Great people to work with, but the owners have a long way to go to make it a good place to work..But thats just my two cents

Flight schools that say they are busy and then can't keep their instructors even when they run a charter buisness should set the alarm bells ringing for most people !! If you have to ask what the company is run like you should be saying to your self its time to look else where !!
Just my thoughts on the matter

Actually, they are hiring MORE instructors due to the anticipated growth this winter. Instructors who have just recently left had left for valid reasons....one to move closer to home and be able to fly, and the other due to financial reasons due to a new addition to the family.... But when your airline division has one run only, massive turnover is to be expected anyway...People get sick of the run quickly and want to move on to more challenging things. The charter aircraft is getting busier, but it's a relitively new addition to the company, and business just doesnt fall into your lap, so it needs time to establish itself.....THE FACTS

Carl, judging from your previous posts you seem to work for them or have worked there. What can you tell us about actually working there? What is the company like? the owners? How hard is it to move up from instructing to the airline/charter side?

uuankor! You are becoming my new best friend. I love how Carl is tryingto praise the place up by saying the instrictors are leaving for valid reasons "one left due to financial reasons and a new addition to the family". Let me translate that for ya. He was proabably workin 16 hrs a day 7 days a week, and makin makin 200 bucks a week. Of that 200 you get, 100 bucks is Canadian Tire Money, 50 Bucks in Subway stamps, 25 dollar gift certifiacate at the Goodwill, and the other 25 goes to the tax man. The tables have finally turned in this industry and the days where pilots took any job at any pay just to fly are slowly passing by. GFT/EVAS have thrived on this in the past and used it to their advantage to get their employees to do anything to keep their job. Well...unfortunately that just aint cutting it anymore. Good Luck to anyone who goes there. you'll need it!!!!

Leave Carl alone! He is the only guy to get pulled down the road by his 3lbs dog and get laughed at by women.
