What's wrong with this picture

Post by jjal »

Ok, boredom has set in. This is a 737-700 on runway 25 at Thunder Bay. What's wrong with this picture? First to get it gets an ATTABOY or ATTAGIRL. Best smartass response also gets an ATTABOY or ATTAGIRL.

That runway is awlful close to somebody's back yard -gonna be noisy when the 37 winds up. Didn't see any type of security fence either - who is lookin out for the kids....... but I don't know that area, so as usual I am probably full of shit

Actually, I'd heard WJ deleted the option of the airstair on most of their newer 737s.

Apparently, they weigh too much (several thousand lbs?) and they saved $100,000 per airframe. On top of that, most of the places they go to have an airway and/or a step truck (or whatever you call it).

Also, you can see the first C- in the registration is not reversed.

Cheers!

edited for further observation.

What happened to the walk-around? Any airliner I've ever seen parked at a gate has it's lights on 24/7. Shouldn't that have been noticed by a diligent crew?

You can easily see the neon green nav light has been transplanted when you enlarge the image 200-300% in MS Paint.

Well done.

No, the photo is not reversed and no maintenance didn't bugger up, I just changed the colour balance of the light; tried to get it as close as possible but "neon" wasn't what I was going for. Although now that I look at it I should have sampled the colour from a right side of a -37 to compare. Next time jjal.

I am still waiting for a best smartass response although "There's no way that that many people want to go to T-Bay" is pretty good so far. Kind of hard to condone such a statement about my hometown, though.

Hey lots of people want to come to ThunderBay......3 busiest airport in Ontario! Jazz alone has 10 flights a day.
And the airport has had wildlife problems....mainly with deer but they have all mysteriously vanished ....hmmmmm.

Ladies and Gentlemen, once we have reached our cruising altitude and the Captain has turned off the seat belt sign you'll be free to move about the cabin. Our cabin crew will be coming around with complimentary peanuts and venison.
