LoL,

After being put on hold yesterday in the ONT TC section, "all our operators are busy" or something to that effect and then after 40 minutes of hold "are office is closed for the day"

called ALB, wonderful people, actually managed to help me without calling an inspector(who's never in for ONT atleast)

Today, the bloke in MB actually looked something up for me, very helpful chap..

Oh, zero hold time...

Conclusion, spend the 0.03 cents and save a headache call long distance to one of the remote provinces where you'll get great service..

Same can be said for the maritimes TC. Had no idea what an MEA gap was, nor did anybody at my school. Called TC, had no idea either, but took the time to look it up and acutally call us back.

Speaking as a carpet-bagging easterner (born in Montreal, raised in Ottawa) who's currently living off the fat 'o the land(oilpatch) here in the west, Westerners have every reason in the world to be pissed by the eastern-centric views of many. For many living in TO, well TO is of course the centre of the universe, anything west of London is the US, and anything north of Barrie is the freakin arctic!

When's the last time that we had a PM not from the Eastern Bloc serve a full term in office?

As much as I would have scoffed at the idea when I lived in Ontario, perhaps we should have one chamber of Parliament structured to provide better representation for provinces with smaller populations (and bigger per captia contributions to Canada's economic health) It may seem a radical step, but if something doesn't change, there's a chance that the "out there" rumblings and hand-made road signs advocating separation of the west might end up becoming a political party.

Small chance, lol.. Next election, if they touch that cash from Alberta's coffers, they surely will create such a party..

Hey J.C. :

Why are you picking on the mentally challenged again?

I can remember when it was normal to get good service from TC.

When someone posts that they were happy with service from some TC department we should try and shame the ones who have lost sight of what they are paid to do......Give good service.

So lets hear from more people who are pleased with good TC employees and I am sure you will find there are many.

The really bad ones you can leave to me and I'll take the flack for exposing them.

I'd like to give credit to the guys in YWG that I deal with. Each time I call on the phone I usually get a smile on the other end. The people in Safety and that do the PPC's are helpful, my Commercial and Buisness rep is a good guy and I have been ramped four times in the last year, each time without conflict or hassle.

Well being ramped isn't exactly my idea of good service.

Ramp checks should be done only when there is reasonable cause for the check.

Random ramp checks are just "fishing expeditions".

But I'm going to bet some of you will disagree with me on this issue.

If I ever get ramp checked again, I will co operate by showing the required documents....and that is all.
