Well DJI,

Try: http://www.autozone.com I rebuilt the top half of my engine thanks to their site.

And yes - it's still running!

Funny story:

A guy I knew kept losing the master fuse for no reason. It made him so crazy with the diagnosing and re-diagnosing that he actually paid someone to replace the entire wiring harness (GMC Astro Van, methinks) and needless to say, it cost him a pretty penny.

A few days later the master blew again.

The culprit?

A penny had fallen into the lighter socket (it was mounted vertically).

Who would have thought?

Autozone is a good site, they don't list a whole lot of newer vehicles but if you have a beater of some sort it's great - good drawings and schematics.

It is not cheap but the best way to get repair information is to buy Mitchell's repair manuals on DVDs. official version costs 400 dollars per month. I bought a hacked copy of it (all 11 DVDs) on e-Bay for 300.00! Unfortunately, I could not make copies for my friends. Once it is installed on your computer, it cannot be copied again.
Everything is there, including sevrvice bulletins from all manufacturers.

..

There are lots of model-specific forum sites out there... just do a google search on something like: your-model-name forum, and see what you come up with.

A very good site for Pontiac Bonnevilles for their entire model history is at: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/

Get your hands on a Haynes manual for you car. I got mine at Canadian Tire or you can order them online http://www.haynes.com/ca.html They are very good manuals and cost around $20.

I went and bought a factory service manual for my truck, $120 from the dealership, though it has saved at least $1200 or more since I got it :D

There is nothing better than getting it from the horses mouth!
