So whats going on up in Thompson these days? I have heard people say that there is so much work there, that if you were to put a aircraft there "it would be a lisence to print money". Is there really that much of a hole left from skyward still? I would have thought that most of the work would have been picked up by now. Does anyone know if the local ops have the work tied up or is there room for one more to move in? Anyone?

Of all places *this* is where you go to do your business plan market research? If you are serious about this get in an airplane and go spend a couple days there "observing" and "learning".

I have no interest in starting anything in Thompson myself, but know people who do. However, I am interested in what is going on out there and how much room people think there is for more planes in town?

I wouldn't think it'd be a good idea, but I'm no businessman. It'd be tough to compete with the multiple well-established companies with big fleets who already have consistent repeat business that probably isn't going anywhere. What kind of aircraft are they considering for this?

It's the slow season right now with the winter roads open. Calm Air, Perimeter, Missinnippi, and now NACair are the major players up there. All of these companies have an established name within the communnites. Some people love em, some hate em with a passion. From my observations, it's absolutely impossible to please all of the people in the north. You could offer first class service on a G-V with service up to YBQ or ZTM and you'll still get bitched at no matter what.
