Jazz pays the pits for people hired after 2003...........

Here is the link to their collective agreements:
http://www.caw2002tca.ca/e/collective-agreements.htm

and here's the mantenance agreement links:
http://www.caw2002tca.ca/collective-agr ... -06-09.pdf

If you take a look through some of the others, lots of Jazz employees make better $$ than the AME's. Its rediculous.

2 yrs ago I got a call from Jazz, (forgot I even applied) and wasn't really interested but I thought "hey why not see" the interview went great and said they would call me back...later that day they called me and offered me $19.25/hr, I literally laughed out loud and politely refused and never thought any more of it...2 days later he DOM calls backed and told me thats all he could offer me as per the collective agreement...I said "thats all you can offer an AME with 4 endorsememnts and 6 years licenced?" I told him that I understood and said thanks for his time... yadda yadda yadda.

That would have been an $11/hr pay cut....gross

4 endorsements 6 years licenced? How many years before you got your licence?

Not to be offensive but.. pls use a spellchecker.

You are as good as your word(s) Oui?

OK I thought this was a question about Jazz...but if you snot nose brats want to turn it into a pissing match by all means go ahead.

4 endorsements...that's what happens when a company gives you an ACA with more than one type of aircraft. good companies train their people and make sure they can use them no matter what type of A/C goes to that station. I got 3 right in a row my first year licenced. I know what I have and the training I have received and I don't care who believes me really, this is nothing more than a website so don't worry about my job and focus on your own. I have 8 years experience by the way, my post about the Jazz interview was 2 yrs ago.

Don Know Much I gotta say your have offered nothing but experience and wisdom since I've seen you start posting here...The Thread ask about Jazz, I offered my experience ( something you don't have). It may have sounded bad but the offer I got from Jazz was worse so I didn't sugar-coat it.

Good offer, considering how dumb you are. Lloyd Christmas has nothing on you. Are you still in High school? My 6 yr old nephew has better material than you.

Thanks for the tips troubleshot...and i totally agree with your comments about the spell checker crew here, stick with the topics. i just heard from some friends that they bumped they're pay scale up recently, i might toss a resume in for the hell of it just to see what they say. Another thing im wondering about is the hours, what kind of rotation they're on?

Troubleshot - Sorry if my question offended you. I do apologize for the "spellchecker" remark. I took your comment seriously. I appreciated the posting of the links by ourkid2000.
There are AME's at JAZZ with both CRJ and Dash 8 ACA's. How long did they wait to get their endorsements? I've worked for companies where AME's got their licence, got their endorsement(s) then walked away. To a higher paying job.
But sticking to the topic. I keep in touch with an AME (ex co-worker) at JAZZ in Ontario and he seems reasonably happy with his salary and his hours. He will be there two years and is getting close to getting his first (JAZZ) endorsement. He has told me that had he been hired with a Dash-8 and/or CRJ endorsement his starting salary would have been higher. He started doing the night shift 4 on/4 off. He applied for and got the day shift after one year. Now this is only my experience (it's only second hand as well) with Jazz.
If I wanted a job that was close to home, offered benefits, travel privileges, and whatever else they had I would give it serious consideration.

Jazz wasn't for me, but it doesn't mean it's not for you. Take your time and get all the info, the industry is booming right now so be a little more picky if you can.

The only reason I was looking into Jazz was because I wanted to move to Halifax...but not on those terms.

Good Luck.

No harm...I know Jazz is a pretty good place all and all or I wouldn't have applied , but the money up front was just not up to par with everyone else. You can make good money there if you stick it out and get an ACA, not to mention the travel perks....

I did almost all my apprenticeship at my current company so they felt I deserved the training I received...they knew I wouldn't leave for money because they are one of the best paying gig's in town and pay almost $2/hr more for every endorsement you have....so you are less likely to leave for money. I work 5 on 5 off days(Line) , nights ("A" checks/daily's), charter destinations ( 7 days a week with 2 turns / day)
a good mix.

Good luck and be safe.
