Hello there,

Thanks,

I know a Maint. Guy that worked for a company called Avmax out of Calgary. He was just in The Congo with a Dash-8 Of theirs. They operate under Regianol 1, Last I heard they had a few Dash 8s leased out. One to North Cariboo and One to Canadian North. Not sure if they have anything else on the go right now. I know Avionco was into Dash 8's but I would steer clear of them they are extremley shady.

I confirm what meathead said above. Stay clear of Avionco, which is also called Aerospace Services Group, (ASG). NOTICE HOW THEY KEEP CHANGINING THEIR NAME? Anyway, they never paid me.
Be careful and avoid anyone by the last name of Dodd.

HA HA! You must be Avionco. Thanks for recapping in a single page for me. I am doing a public service here, and it seems to me that anyone of any intelligence would appreciate the fact that I am only confirming what other people have experienced though my own experience which gives validity to statement that the Avionco company is CROOKED. No slag here boss, just the truth.altiplano wrote:Yeah!
Way to ressurect six 3 year old threads on your first day of posting to slag a company!

They paid me and very well thank you in US dollars. It was a CRJ job but money was paid on time . I have nothing bad to say and I'm not there now.
Re: Dash 8 contracts overseas
At least I am contributing something Altiplano, attacking others for their true experiences as stated is not. It is never a waste to get the truth out to everybody. Redundant yes, but what are multiple newspapers about the same story? I seek only to validate what others have obviously already stated in the past to give this issue currency, for it has not gone away just because no one has spoke of it in the last three years. Do you also attack these other pilots just because their opinion is different than yours? In any case, your original attack on me is unwarranted unless you have an argument to give of some substance.
It seems that your Avionco buddy has worked on concert to your statement, “If I was looking into these guys one comment from a known regular forum contributor would carry more weight than 100 from a first day poster.” So there you are, an experience, (hopefully true) has been voiced by another member's ranking of three. Are you happy now?
Until recently, Avionco was two months behind in payments to its pilots. These pilots were only paid, when the contracting company, (out of compassion) intervened and got them paid while Avionco sat uselessly by.
Avionco should use its own money to pay pilots for services rendered, not wait to be paid by the contracting company to pay it's pilots. In other words at Avionco, the pilots financially carry the company, and if something goes wrong anywhere, Avionco screws the pilots out of their money while risking nothing. Now does this seem fair to you?
I think it is a shameful, and irresponsible way to run a company.

For a person who does not care, you've certainly gone out of your way on this one huh?altiplano wrote:I really don't care pal - I don't work there or know anyone that does. Just making a point which is obviously pointless to you.
Good luck with that all.
Yes you're right, it is pointless to me that you would attack me personally and not offer any relevent argument or agreement for something that has happened to me and others. If this thread bothers you, just don't read it.

Good luck.

If your applying for over seas with the avmax group, maintenance i believe for R1 and Avmax is done through the Avmax website, if your a pilot apply to R1.
