for current jazz pilots

Post by metoo »

I have the interview coming up soon and was wondering if some some new current pilots would be willing to share some pay info. I've looked at all the sites that talk about pay, I know the flat pay of about 35K for the first year. what I'm interested in is exactly what people are having deposited in there bank accounts. i know there is some overtime and per diems and also deductions like union dues, uniform, health plan etc.
if you guys could pm me with what a new jazz pilot is actually taking home, that info would really help.
i know it depends on equipment, reserve or not, etc...but if I could get an idea that would be great.

thanks

Equipment has nothing to do with the take home. It's status pay. Captain on the Dash makes as much as the captain on the RJ, same goes for the F/O's. Every month take home is around $2200 on average. Lots of money goes to paying union dues. Perdiums bring in about 600 extra, less of you're on reserve.

Key is picking where you want to live, not the machine. The luster of flying a jet is quickly lost if you're not happy where you are. Lifestyle is EVERYTHING. Cheers.

Edited after looking at my year full of paystubs....(average take home)

You guys must be Dash guys, because RJ FO's in Toronto take home about $1900-$2000 a month plus around $600 in per diems. LOL

And, I might add, think of the money you save using one bar of soap per year!
