i decided to buy a coffee and after i stood in line behind the asshole buying 7 sandwhichs and 14 ice capps i ordered my medium coffee. I ended up winning a free coffee. Heres the kicker i went back the next day and decided i didn't want a coffee. I said to myself "I think i'll have a tea" so i ended up getting the tea.

Is this a once a year thing, or more often than that? It doesn't seem that long since the last roll up the rim ...

0 for 1.

Noticed Robin's Donuts has a Sip to Win contest out now too. How lame - red cup with yellow arrow too. Won a free donut (1/1) at TH and a free SMALL coffee (after purchasing a large) but it's only free after buying a donut. How hard can it be to give away 8oz of friggin coffee? :smt093 Also got a free donut with the purchase of large or extra large coffee. Pathetic RD, pathetic! That's what you get when you see a Canadian co to American one, I guess. 8) (Canadian) --> :smt071 (American)

Ever contemplated how disgusting it must be for the employees at TH (and RD now too) to be handling the freebees? You know, the one that had someone's nasty lips and tongue all over it :smt016 and unrolled with their teeth? :vom:

RD had the right idea with their pull tabs last year. Much gooder.

Never used so many smilies before - I apologize for my rampant use of such visual aids. It won't happen again.

A tea? How can you contain all the excitement in your day to day life? :smt026

So, why does a nice gesture ie: "I'm going to Tims, anyone want anything" make a guy an "asshole". Geez if I hold the door open for you maybe I am also a prick!

I worked there for 3 years, best time was when SARS was a potential problem, so we weren't to touch them. To this day I allways turn the cup so I'm not drinking from where the rim rolls up, out of courtesy.

I always chew on the roll-up point. At least I did when Greg87 was pouring my joe.

Sorry to stop you mid-sentence but.. Yes I do. If you can take the time and energy to buy a cup, take the time to drop it in a trash can as opposed to on the ground. Better yet, just keep it in your car until your next cup and throw in in the drive thru trash..

Sorry for the hijack.

I know I'll get hung for this, but I could just never understand this national obsession with Tim Horton's. Their coffee is mediocre at best and their service is not even that good. As far as fast food goes I guess it's alright - at least it's consistent.

But even more than the company itself I hate this contest. Well, hate is a very strong word, maybe i shouldn't say that. I loathe this contest with all my being, partly because of this:

Not knocking you Siggy, just all the extra trash this contest creates which ends up usually everywhere except in the garbage.

I'm 0/0 in case anyone was wondering.

I second that ..Timmies coffee is the shits to put it mildly! Why on earth meatheads would line up to get a cup of crap coffee is beyond me.

Hey, I hate the litter too, and I sure have noticed a lot more of it due to the contest. It kinda bugs me when I buy a drink for 'eat in' and they give it to me in a normal cup but include a roll up cup as an extra for the contest. Wish they just had some contest stub or something, less wasteful.

Side note, my fear is that I'll buy a buddy a coffee and he'll win the car while I get a play again... kinda like giving a winning lotto ticket away...
