I guess it could also be an Otter job depending on what kind of time you will have and your preference of planes

Incredible, here is a chance to fly the best float plane ever to be used in the bush and no one is jumping on it.

If I were looking for a float plane job I'd jump on this one.
The two best years I spent flying in the bush were for George Terriault flying his Beech 18 CF-TBD.
Loved that machine.

No one has the minimums. Unless my 16 hrs on floats and 34.5 multi are enough. In which case, pm me, B18 Rules- I'll do it.

14 pms total and some of them pretty good. If any of them are interesting I will forward my e-mail and go from there. Thanks for the interest guys and appreciate everyone who has looked. The ideal person would be able to cross train on otters both turbine and piston as well as beaver,185 and 206 to maybe help cover some of the days off. But that is not a requirement.

Yeh it was a neat little toy for sure.
Did a zillion trips from Hawk Junction to the fish camps around James Bay in it.
JEESES that was a long time ago, last time I flew it was 1967.

Wow!
That take you back!!! the stories!!!
JM realised one day, cruising, that the right front float fitting
just broke up. The float stayed in place for the next hundred miles,
just wavering a little bit, held still in place by the rear fitting.
On landing in Stewart lake, the float broke right off and the plane slowly
settled with the right wingtip laying on the sandy shallows.
Came a little rowboat and the eight passengers disembarqued
without getting their feet wet.
And, beside the broken fittings, there was not a scratch on the plane or the float.
Try to do that with any other airplane!!!

I would LOVE to fly a B-18, but nowhere near the requirements for said job, and already in a great gig!

And that little rowboat went back at night to remove
the meat of ten cariboos before the federales got there...

Hey realistically, what are Beech operators looking for in requirements on a beech 18.
Im guessing besides the Multi itself:
1500 Floats
500 of which is otter
50 hours multi-ish
But thats just a guess?

Yeah boozy baby! I would like to know the same!
FlyYukon, if you really want to drive a DC-3, talk to the folks at First Nations Transport in Gimli, MB. They hire just about anybody! ...take out some life insurance before you head down there though...
