What would you do?
Jazz or Corporate Jet Capt.
Their are pro's and con's to each of course.
Prefer to stay in Western Canada.

Will the corporate job keep you in Western Canada? Because right now Jazz most likely will have you in YYZ or YUL for at least six months before a spot will open up in that direction. That's not a given, sometimes there are western spots. But it doesn't always work out. I hope this helps you.

Go corporate, especially if you will be in the left seat. Pay will no doubt be much better, likely more than double the starting F/O pay and more than a starting captain wage at Jazz which is going to take you a few years to get to anyway.
You'll get to spend a little time (sometimes too much) in the places you fly to rather than blast off after an hour or two as you would for a sched. A good corporate gig ie. scheduled days off, decent pay and good management is hard to beat, I've never heard of an airline px handing over a couple of hundy to each crew member for a job well done either.
If you choose to move on you'll have the jet time which will help and apparently a better chance of getting on at mainline than a Jazz guy according to many posters on this site. Good luck.

At the end of the day, you can only make whatever decision is right for you at the time, so I'd ask for information rather than opinions...
Having said that, one thing you should know about the salary structure at Jazz is that if/when you DO go into the left seat, you don't start at year 1 captain pay. You slide across the scale to the appropriate salary for your years of service. Thus, if you go into the left seat after 6 years, you're a 6th year captain, not a 1st year captain.
Best of luck with your decision...
Swerved.

In a world full of people, only some want to fly. Isn't that crazy?
