Sharks in the west. Joe Thornton finished the season on a tear. Guerin adds alot of depth. Rivet adds consistency on the blue line. Great mix of speed, skill and size on that team.
Penguins in the east. Plenty of highly talented, hungry young guns and some quality veterans in Roberts and Recchi to lead the way. If they can get good goaltending out of Fleury, watch out.
Buffalo just doesn't have the grit and toughness to last in the playoffs. Too many prancing fairies.

Pengins in the East. I think they've got alot of learning to do this year, but I think they've proven that they can learn AND win at the same time this year. If not this year, watch out for them next year. I'm a little nervous about Fleury in net though. I've never been a real fan of his. He's had alot of opportunity to prove he's a #1 goalie, and so far he's been dissapointing.
Sharks in the West. Maybe Vancouver. Everyone knows how important goaltending is in the second season, so Luongo might just be Canada's saviour this year!
As far as upsets, I think the Islanders are riding a high right now. I wouldn't be surprised to see them upset the Sabres. I wouldn't even be surprised to see them go to the Semi's. They just seem like a team that will eventually run out of steam and come up a bit short.
