managment makes economy decisions.

Hiding behind "I felt forced to do it" will not hold up as a defence

Stay away from companies that require a training bond!
Run like hell from companies that require a training bond after you have worked there a few years!

Training bonds are becoming the norm because guys are still cutting and running at the first call from a company with a bigger/better aircraft. I'm not supporting them(bonds) by any means, I just understand how owners must get pissed when a guy leaves only a couple months after sim training, ppc ride, etc. Those owners that take advantage of bonds, however, should be avoided at all costs.

Dumb question: what happens to a young kid that's on the hook for thousands of dollars and is staring at bankruptcy, if management pushes him to go "or else"?

Should he still have to pay the $$$ he owes if pushy management cans him?

A WHOLE lotta monday morning quarterbacking is going on ...
