Thunder Airlines Ad
Finally looks like someone went to the trouble of putting all the info in the ad, including pay scale, mileage, training and agreement.
I am not looking for a job, but if I were, I think that Thunder's latest ad would provide me with good data to consider a position there. You may like the company or not, the work conditions and whatever, but at least all the numbers are on the table. No "as per company..." or "based on experience" BS here.
Seems like they have been following this forum....

They've always been a good company to work for. I spent 5 yrs there in the mid 90's and had a great time. You will definitely work hard but you will be treated well, fly well maintained A/C over a great variety of situations, (3500 gravel in the morning, Pearson that afternoon) and actually make enough money to have the odd steak BBQ in the summer!!

Little help...
If someone got hired with thunder on the MU-2 with less than 500mpic, where can they expect to go within the company from there??
From my understanding, was that 99% of the MU-2 flights are medevac, so no matter how many hours someone gets in the right seat as long as they dont have the 500mpic then no left seat. So will they upgrade you on the king air then??
thx

as a matter of fact....they (we) do. Or we look at "other" options....sabatical to fly fire patrol etc.
Re: Thunder Airlines Ad
I've run into several of their people over the years. Good group of folks. The year was 1778..

Now I'm a broken maaaan....the Moo-2 shredded my eeeears....
//Just kidding - they are actually pretty quiet inside, and hella fun to fly.

I'm a broken man on a Halifax Pier ...
Flying is better than walking. Walking is better than running. Running is better than crawling. All of these however, are better than extraction by a Med-Evac, even if this is technically a form of flying.

By the direction this took I guessing a few of us would get along just fine after a few boxes of ale, a fiddle, a harp and microphone.

Amen to that! " It's been six years since I went away, and I just made Halifax yesterday"
