Dash-8 Problem

Post by Phyl »

Hey Guys

One of our customers is having trouble with the Dash-8 nose wheels, and I was wondering if anyone else has come across this problem.

When they are ground running the aircraft at high power both the nosewheel tires come detatched from the rim, so they have to go out and change the nosewheels on the spot.

They have taken care when building up the wheels and the bead is very clean an roughed up, there seems to be a good seal.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Phyl

Are they only pulling power from one engine at a time? This will cause a side load. bring both engines to power at the same time, maybe?

if your tires arent to the proper inflation, this could occur as well as if they are cranking over really hard sharp turns this also could happen. make sure that your tires are inflated to the proper pressure and tell them to take it easy its just an airplane. 123dash that also is a good suggestion
